Police arrested 27 years old John Lee Cowell , a poroled felon , on a Bart train within 24 hour after he attacked sister Nia and Letifah Wilson in a vicious stabbing.
San Francisco Gate report that an anoymous caller had tipped police that Cowell had boarded an Antioch-bound train .Carlos Rojas ( BART Police Chief ) told that “prison-style attack” that was among “the most vicious”.
Letifah Wilson (26) was also stabbed in the neck but luckly he survived . As the Washington Post reports Nia and Letifah Wilson didnt ride the BART train normally but that night on the way to home from a family gathering they opted to take it . Her mother Alicia Grayson , told thr East Bay Times that Nia didn’t like the BART.“She was scared of the BART,” Grayson said with tears. “Now I see why.”

BART police described the attack as “random,” but Rojas told reporters that the attack was race-motivated.In the immediate aftermath of Cowell’s arrest, officers have yet to tie Cowell to “any type of radical group or white supremacist group.”
